My son and I went on a road trip together last summer. Just the two of us. Which is hard to believe right now because we have barely been able to be in the same room lately without some sort of disagreement. I am chalking it up to the fact that he will be 13 in two weeks and teenagerdom is upon us. Maybe I’m having a midlife crisis myself. Who knows?
Something tells me it’s going to be a long five years. Oy.
So while we were around the pool, he wanted to take some photos. It was the end of a day of horseback riding and canoeing, and I looked hideous, so I told him that I was off limits as a photo op, but he was welcome to take pictures of whatever else struck his fancy.
That’s what he did, and here they are.
Thank you to Delicious Baby for hosting Photo Friday.

It’s very refreshing to see the pictures through the eyes of children. He has a good composition skill.
I’m sure he’d be very glad to hear that…although I’m sure he has no idea what it means:)
We always try to do this with our kids when we travel, too…always interesting and amusing to see captures their interest. My favorite one is the umbrella shot. So where did you go on your road trip together? Hang in there with the teenage stuff…I am working hard on trying to figure out a way to avoid it with my two little ones but it seems like there’s no stopping it when it happens.
We went to Big Cedar Wilderness Club in Ridgedale MO. Highly recommend it. It’s wonderful.
Thanks for the support on the teenage years. We mothers have to stick together!
My oldest turned 14 last month. I was just about getting used to the idea of him being 13. I hear you sister!
We’ve got 15 coming up in a few months at out house. The numbers are starting to get scary!
