Hi Michele,

I loved the Riviera Maya! I am such a fan of anything tropical, but found the entire area to be especially beautiful and family oriented. I already had it on my list to return to Playa Del Carmen. I’d love to stay right down in the busy area and hang out at all the cool restaurants and shopping places.

I’m surprised that more people don’t talk about the area. I still hear so much about Cancun, Cabo etc. They’re great places too, but the Riviera Maya really trumps them for families, in my opinion. Thanks for stopping by!

I was so glad to hear about your upcoming trip to our little corner of Mexico and even more thrilled to read that you and Wyatt had a great time. I haved lived here in Playa del carmen with my husband and children for almost 6 years and we just love it.

we’ve toyed with Mexico for a family trip – but for a couple of those reasons – 1) the passports (we are out $400 before we even BOOK our family trip) but 2) the biggie – safety. What you see in the news is terrifying…
I have yet to convince my hubs we should do a trip to Mexico – even though we both really love it there…
