Thank You
Thank you to each and every one of you who have stopped by to hang out with me in my new little home on the internet. This has been an exciting month for me so far, and I have big plans for Travel Dither throughout 2010. So make sure you stand by for future updates!
Traveling with “big kids” can be so rewarding, and can create memories they will now actually remember:) I love reading about travel, and researching travel, and challenging myself to come up with the best deals possible. It’s something I’ve always done with my family, and shared with my friends, but I have been bursting to share all the cool things I’ve come across in either my planning or traveling. Now I have you. Yay!
There is so much information available about traveling with babies and little ones, and I have eaten it up over the years, but I found as my kids have gotten older that there is just not as much out there focusing on travel opportunities for families with tweens and teens. Of course, we all know that as much fun as teeners can be to travel with, they can also be horrible, moody, monsters too, and that is something new we need to include in our plans! Let’s talk about it.
My kids are 14, 13, and 11 now, and I’ve traveled with them regularly over the past several years, so I figured I have something to add to the online travel conversation that might be useful to other people with kids in this age group. Also, I can lend an ear when you shell out money to take the kids to a fantastic seaside resort, and all they do is bicker, and complain, and kick each other in the back seat the entire time. Because that is occasionally what hormone ridden adolescents will do, and it can make you crazy.
So thank you for stopping by, and I look forward to sharing the bumpy travel road of life with preteens and teens both literally and figuratively.
The Newletter
Beginning in March, I will be sending the Travel Dither Newsletter straight to the inbox of everyone who signs up ! It’s going to be full of exciting news and sneak peeks of things that are going on around here, and of course it will always contain a travel deal I’ve found that is just too good to keep to myself. But to get it, you need to be on the list, so subscribe today and you won’t miss out.
The Travel Dither Community
My goal with this site is to create a community of people who love to travel with their kids, and want to do more of it. People who believe travel is an education, and is worth the time, effort, and resources it takes to teach your kids that the world is more than the little corner you live in.
It’s important to me to make Travel Dither a place where you find information you are looking for, and a place where you can hang out and take part in the conversation. So share your ideas freely in the comments section, or email me. I love hearing from you.
